Maillezais Abbey
Maillezais Abbey located 1 h 15 from the campsite, offers a summary of French religious architecture: the simplicity of the Romanesque, the grandeur of the Gothic and the splendor of the Renaissance. The remains of the monument still dazzle visitors today. During your visit, you'll see the guesthouse, the pilgrims' wing, the cloister, the monastery choir, the chapter house and the refectory.

Grammont Priory
Grammont Priory located 1 h from the campsite, is one of the best-preserved Grandmont foundations in France.
In the 12th century, the Poitou region saw the development of a new monastic order: the Order of Grandmont. Around 1197, Richard the Lionheart continued his father's project by founding a new priory.
During your visit, you'll discover the different spaces in which the monks lived according to the rule: the guest room, the kitchen, the refectory, the chapter house and the chapel. You'll be amazed by Grandmont's treasure trove.
